AI in the Charts – Who’s Really Drawing the Line?

AI-generated songs are now hitting the charts, competing with human artists and reaching millions of streams. The development seems unstoppable – yet we discuss it as if we’re still at the beginning. Is this really just a trend, or already the new reality?

Fact: AI is now built into nearly every DAW. Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase – AI-assisted functions are standard. Producers can generate full song ideas, grab samples, loops, patches, or even mixing suggestions from the machine. Tracks originally created entirely by humans are being analyzed, optimized, or rearranged by AI. The line between human creativity and algorithmic assistance is blurring – and we act as if this is still a vision of the future?

The real question: Is the current debate around AI in the music scene a genuine discussion about art and creativity – or just staged outrage, masking the fact that practically every producer is already using AI? Could it be that this “debate” is more of a ritual to control the scene, while in practice everyone is quietly working with AI?

Reality tells a different story: AI is no longer optional; it’s part of everyday creativity. The charts, the DAWs, the production workflows – all are being influenced. Those still debating ethical boundaries may end up just running behind, while music has already moved forward.

AI? Yes. Art? Also. Opinion? Unimportant.

About me

Hello, I’m a creative person who works with sound, images, and space.
I studied interior design, but my heart is in songwriting and music-making, as well as digital art with AI support.

I usually start with the lyrics – words come first, then sounds. Using AI isn’t about making machines sound human, but about discovering new vibrations and emotions.

In addition to music, I create abstract digital art that’s atmospheric and sometimes a bit surreal.

My work can’t really be categorized – it’s a blend of mind, creativity, and technology – all rolled into one.
