Artist: Pablo Rival
Medium: Digital Painting / Oil Texture Emulation on Canvas

Concept
The series Lightline explores the fragile boundary between reality and reflection, between heaven and earth, between the visible and the inner perception. Each work presents a landscape mirrored or reimagined along an invisible axis—as if the city were dreaming of itself.
The upper half, rendered in luminous gold and amber tones, embodies longing: light, hope, energy, and technological progress. The lower half, in deeper greens and rich blacks, reflects the inner world—the subconscious, memory, and the organic sphere that continues to pulsate beneath the urban fabric.
This duality runs like a thread throughout the series: it questions whether we inhabit our cities—or whether our cities already inhabit us.

Interpretation
Lightline is not a realistic depiction but an inner portrait of urban emotions. The viewer is not merely looking at a city or landscape, but at its reflection—or at a possible parallel world. The texture—dense, almost tangible—reflects the materiality of the experience. The transition between light and darkness is fluid, just as the boundaries between nature, technology, and identity continue to blur in our contemporary moment.
